Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter (born July 23, 1970) is an American actress. [1] She played Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also starred with Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012 strong>
Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada the daughter of Christine, a bird sanctuary worker as well as Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is from Spanish (from her maternal grandmother), French, German and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. she was also a part of a group of dancers and singers that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was just nine years old.
When Carpenter was 15 years old, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California Mexico[2] and later to San Diego, California. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. [2][failed verification] Following graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a video store clerk and aerobics instructor and in property management. In 1991, she was a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers. In 1992, she relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles.
Henry Hubbard Jr. was an ex- San Diego officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue her as well as two of her male friends while swimming in San Diego in 1991. The two of them, Henry Hubbard Jr. and her friends were shot in the struggle. Both of them survived. Hubbard was taken into custody and was convicted, then sentenced to 56 years ' imprisonment for a series of rapes. Carpenter brought Hubbard's police-issue flashlight to the beach which he'd left at the scene, and the flashlight was one of the key pieces of evidence against him.
Carpenter was No. 31 on the AskMen's top 99 Most Desirable Women 2002[30] and No. 44 on their list for 2005. Carpenter stated that she does not consider herself to be sexually attractive, even though she is. Carpenter was in the cover story as well as in a 10 page nude pictorial in the June 2004 issue. People magazine asked her 2005 whether she'd pose for Playboy. Playboy was something I chose to do with a purpose. It was a smart choice for me financially. I also felt that it was the best thing for me. I had just had my son and I'd gained 50 pounds during pregnancy. I wanted to look like my old self again. I wanted to appear attractive and sexy. I thought: "What if you went all out?"
