Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Her debut came in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989 she played an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donnevan's role is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody started modelling after she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be a lucrative career. Doody did not wear fashion, thongs and glamour in her modelling career. After getting noticed by the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody appears in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. Doody was only aged 18 when she made her first appearance in the Bond character. To date she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias when she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character in Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role in her career as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody acted alongside Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. In the year 1991, Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody came back to acting, with a small role in 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. in 2004, Doody starred alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria film award on November 21, 2018.
